Hi,

As discussed during the meeting, the new conference call vendor for Sun Europe
is Verizon. I can set up a meeting on demand with a maximum of 20 ports
currently. Again, it consists of a bunch of numbers for various countries (both
toll and toll-free) with a participant access number, and leader access number.

The number list I have for it contains US, Canada, New Zealand and Netherlands
so I believe we're covered for the immediate OGB members. It includes an
additional 40 other countries, though some don't have toll-free numbers
associated, and presumably there are numbers for other countries that I can
separately arrange.

The conference facility *does* include what they call a 'waiting room' to allow
people to 'pre-screen participants prior to the conference start', however I
haven't tested this. That's one possibility for making sure the OGB get priority
on ports. The other is using the 'dial in' service so that as long as the board
member picks up their phone, they will be automatically included in the
conference. All this functionality is through a Java webstart application.

I spoke to the operator about recording. Recording is also available and can be
controlled from the webapp. However, on testing it, it only provides a toll
number from the US to listen in. The operator said they could send a CD
alternatively, but that might be both expensive and time consuming.

I don't have any exact idea how costly these are generally. I used the Global
Crossing numbers regularly with bi-weekly GNOME Foundation calls, and weekly
team calls (lasting about an hour) - generally it was about $250+ USD a month.

This is one option obviously.
