I think it's fine for Enhanced SMF Profiles to either collapse into SMF, or stay a separate project. I imagine future SMF-related projects could start as discussions or ideas within the SMF project, and be spun off into separate projects if so desired (such as the Enhanced SMF Profiles project). If the project wants to remain within the SMF project, that's fine too.
