I was kinda hoping that making the Arduino tools available was going to prod that into happening ;-) Setting up a Project is clearly a good idea but it requires willing bodies and a sponsoring Community Group. As there seems to be interest in this and having the tools will obviously help sustain that interest, I've put up a page at http://hub.opensolaris.org/bin/view/Main/arduino that contains some brief details and links to the downloads. If/when the Project gets under way it can all move under the Project. I'd suggest one of the first aims for any such Project could be to build on Ed's work and get Solaris support into the Arduino repository, then in future the binaries could be made available via SourceJuicer. In fact the avrdude package (board uploader) is already in SourceJuicer. I'll send out an announcement to opensolaris-announce and suggest that people interested in forming a Project gather on opensolaris-discuss. -- Alan Burlison --
