You can get bits out the door really easily, just don't call it a "Release", and for goodness' sake, don't call it OpenSolaris unless you've asked the folks who consider themselves to be the OpenSolaris community to bless it. Sun as *a company* is free to release bits from behind its doors (rather than as an OpenSolaris project) any time it wants. Sun has its own web pages to host this, and needs no permission at all. Ever hear of a tiny little project called Solaris 10 update 4? I think they managed in much this fashion. -- Garrett
