The Advocacy CG exists to help people get involved in the OpenSolaris Community. It was created via the merger of the User Group Community, the Marketing Community, and the Immigrants Community. The Marketing people within Advocacy usually create content and graphics (such as the open(2) graphic). As one of the Advocacy leads, I'd wouldn't want Advocacy to be the lead for website content. I think we can contribute, but the lead should be the Website Community Group. I don't see a Website CG at present, but there is a website project and a website list. Perhaps it's time to consider a CG dedicated to managing all the content on the site? > If I roll back the change I'll (most likely) get an email from someone > within Sun telling me to put it back the way it was the night of Oct 31st. > > I would welcome some clarification on precisely who owns the content and > how that change process should work, but I want to avoid being the proxy > fight for what I believe is actually a much larger governance issue. > > To put it another way, I'd rather not touch anything until we get some > kind consensus between Sun and the community, which I do not see at present.
