This is the self-hosting requirement presumably?

That's perhaps not a useful requirement to impose from day-1 - 
there's no self-contained subset of OpenSolaris, right? Given you 
need SUNWspro bits to build ON. The opensolaris-intersection 
reference need not be self-hosting build wise.
