I think it's useful to have a 'virtual town square' for OpenSolaris, 
however at the moment opensolaris-discuss seems to be full of learner 
drivers practising their 3-point turns and reverse parking manoeuvres. 
Can't we just do the equivalent of making it a pedestrian-only area?  A 
little light encouragement (telling people where to ask with 
'followup-to' set accordingly) might be worth trying.

Of course that would require that all the helpful people stop relying to 
newbie questions on os-discuss and start moving threads and replying on 
the appropriate forum instead.

Seems to me this might be something the OGB could take a lead on... ;-)
