I'm not quite sure of the exact procedure for ratification of an existing community that predates the constitution, but here goes:
We seek to bring the existing Systems Administrators Community (which currently has no Contributors or Core Contributors of its own) onto a sound constitutional footing. This proposal is supported by the following Core Contributors: Ben Rockwood (Documentation) Brian Gupta (Documentation) Darren Reed (Networking) Mike Gerdts (Zones) Octave Orgeron (LDoms) Peter Tribble (Installation and Packaging) Rainer Heilke (Documentation) and has been discussed in the following thread: http://www.opensolaris.org/jive/thread.jspa?threadID=38477&tstart=0 where support has been positive. 1. Purpose A community for systems administrators, engineers, and architects to collaborate and enhance the manageability of OpenSolaris, both by contributing expertise to projects in other areas and by identifying gaps where additional work needs to be done. 2. Name We propose a minor change of name to: Systems Administration Community Group 3. Initial Core Contributors The initial set of core contributors is proposed to be: brandorr - Brian Gupta oorgeron - Octave Orgeron ptribble - Peter Tribble rheilke - Rainer Heilke 4.
