If you're looking for details like that customer mentioned, on what Oracle will offer support contracts for, then these are the externally available links I've seen with details on the current offerings for people looking to buy support for new systems now: http://www.oracle.com/us/support/systems/operating-systems/index.html http://www.oracle.com/support/collateral/hardware-systems-support-policies.pdf There are some mentions of continued support for existing systems, but that's apparently a different set of rules. (And as you can imagine, the internal mailing lists are full of requests to make more answers like this available, so hopefully there will be more answers we can point to in the future.) Of course, that really doesn't cover the ongoing plans for the OpenSolaris open source release & co-development community, though it does touch on the binary distros Oracle will be building and offering based on those sources, including the one that has shared the OpenSolaris name. -- -Alan Coopersmith- alan.coopersm...@oracle.com Oracle Solaris Platform Engineering: X Window System _______________________________________________ ogb-discuss mailing list ogb-discuss@opensolaris.org http://mail.opensolaris.org/mailman/listinfo/ogb-discuss
