Playtesting. Relentless playtesting.

We do multiple run-throughs with a standard set of characters until we're
satisfied that we've got the CR nailed down as well as possible. This is
one of the most useful things outside playtesters do for us--getting a big
sample of fights yields a more accurate CR, of course.
