Ability to use vibro-blade with no proficiency penalties: an in-game
benefit. And your point?
<< Anyone can use a Vibro-blade. >>
Anyone can buy tech skills.

Anyone can learn tech skills.

Actually, it's important that when one person gets to do something in a
safe environment that immediatly improves their characters, *all* of
them should have that chance. >>
Why? A soldier can hire out as a mercenary, and probably has a resume to win
the job. A tech doesn't. A diplomat can gain access to the seats of
privilege and power, and probably has the contacts to do so.
And all of them have all of those chances; but the classes define which
chances are easier for which characters. Doesn't change the fact that the
game gives short shrift to tech characters.
