This is a logic error, and I await the Lawyer's answer for it.

The thought of the OGL being *limited* to game mechanics is a sobering one.
However, it's no different than the idea of the GPL being limited to
software... (Which, I believe, it isn't.)
Even in this pre-OGL world, there is a multitude of public domain and freely
distributible "netbooks." If we're exicted about the idea, the "OGL" being
not what we want shouldn't stop us--we can just take the ideas from the
simplifeied Draft OGL and run with them, if the OGL fails to live up to its
ideals.

I think Slashdot is a shining example of a phrase I've used again and again in
Dunandralis--"Creativity by Democracy sucks." (Not that Slashdot is a bad
site--but the mob it hosts is anything but "creative.")
Nevertheless, Slashdot is not relevant to this discussion. The idea of
"openness" isn't one that needs to draw on prexisting movements... unless it
isn't a viable idea, which I believe it is.
