You will be accused by the DEVELOPERS and some of the folks on this list.
My take (and I mean this) is a rousing "screw them". IT IS YOUR WORK UNTIL
YOU DECIDE TO OPEN IT. If you feel like opening it, do so, If you don't,
DON'T.
Our plans are to release ALL of our original stuff as closed as possible,
then as the marketability interest wanes, open it up for others to play
with. We expect this to be a relatively short time horizon - 18 months or
so for modules, probably even shorter for pure rules.
All of OUR stuff will be released via SRD from our site. NOTHING that is
not already open will be opened in our print products. Why confuse the
reader.
There is nothing wrong with this model and I am *really* perplexed that most
folks aren't doing it this way. It is exactly the model WotC is using.
Seems like a no-brainer to me.
