I hate to side with Faust on a matter of commerce (it could get me kicked
out of the Leech Lodge). But I truly hate pop-up ads (ads that appear in a
whole new browser window). They consume far too much time and resources,
especially on older, slower machines. I'll tolerate a LOT in the range of
commercial behavior -- banner ads, for instance, are fine with me -- but _I_
open browser windows on MY machine, thank you very much. Some ad opening one
for me is a pain. (And the ones that KEEP opening every time you visit a new
page are the worst.)

Not to mention the fact that the most common pop-up ads I've seen are for
gambling, porn, or dating services. The connotation these ads carry is
perhaps not what you intended.

Kill the pop-up ads. I will *never* link to a site that has pop-up ads.
(Sorry, it must be the anarchist in me...)
