I have a webpage with articles and reviews at
   http://www.ps.uci.edu/~jhkim/rpg/reviews/index.html

The D&D3 section includes a large table of what to expect
not just from a single best 3 of 4d6 roll, but what to expect from
your highest of 6 ability scores, 2nd highest, on down to lowest.
I also include some discussion of the standard point system, but not of
the other random-roll methods yet.
