finding a way to let people who had hung on as shareholders for years to
cash out, buy houses, diversify their investments, etc. If it hadn't been a
buyout, it might have been an IPO. And, heck, if they'd had an IPO, they
might just have been bought out anyhow. (Avalon Hill was publicly traded,
in the form of Monarch Avalon (NASDAQ: MAHI) prior to its acquisition by
Hasbro.)
