Read the FAQ, oh wait a minute we still don't have one :-) If you look
back
through the archive of this list for "Gentlemans Agreement" you will find
reference to the fact that the rest of the SRD may be used as in with the
agreement that it will be released as OGC in the future, but on the
understanding that it may be changed before release.

WOTC are covering themselves whilst still giving people early
access to the SRD.

There are many ways depending on the type of OGC. For example
I have seen an adventure that is entirly OGC. There is nothing that
stops me copying it word for word and selling or releasing it on the
net. However all the maps and illustrations within that particular
adventure were kept as PI and not released as OGC so really
no one would buy my version of it unless i redid all the art.

There are many ways I can see to make profit, I'm sure others
on this list have had more hands on experience with it though
and will provide better examples.

In short just be careful what you release as OGC if you want
to make a profit, consider the consequences and benefits of
doing so!

Cheers,

Gary Preston
