Does anyone see the value of Icons used on book covers to represent D20
Systems. Since I am looking at guns right now we will use it as an example.

Example:

I make a spiffy set of rules for guns (or legally publish someone else's).
A good number of people use it.
We all use an identifying logo to represent this commonality (since D20
wouldn't be relevant as we all know).
The product(s) are still D20 and/or OGL but also have this common
identifying factor.
Similar Icons could be created for other things such as magic and so on.
The Icon could ONLY be used with compatible gaming content.
I wouldn't call this a sublicense, but in some way it is...

This was a thought I had for some of the smaller guys to compete against the
big guys, or maybe a way for a mixed group (established professionals AND
start-ups/fan based stuff) to join together and attempt to produce truly
compatible products. It would also be followed by a small media campaign
over the internet and shows we attend.

Thoughts?
