As a fan you're in even better shape. If you release fan material (say as a
pdf) under the OGL and some kind of violation slipped through you have 30
days to fix the breach, which should be quite easy if it's just a web
release. Currently I don't believe this applies to the d20STL but apparently
the update to the d20STL will fix that. Naturally, don't take this as a
license to violate all sorts of IP but put out a good conscience effort to
comply and respond quickly to mistakes pointed out by others and you should
be good to go.
