Hey Guys!
We got it! The IRS granted Better World Roleplaying, Inc. an advance ruling so as
of May 2001 and until May 2006 BWR will be treated as a public charity. BWR will have
until 2006 to get the organization running like we hope it will and after that time
the IRS will make a final decision. This is great news and was a huge obstacle. The
details of how we have to operate are complicated but the take home point is that
**now** we can do all of the things we wanted to do with BWR!
This is a small step for open gaming as well because open gaming is an integral
part of what we have prepared and planned for BWR. Thank you to this list for all of
your on and off-list help! I sincerely doubt that I would have been moved to
establish BWR if it hadn't been for my time spent here beginning way back in the
Spring of 2000.
