I heard a rumor that Twilight 2000 was going to be re-released. While I
enjoyed playing the game for quite some time. Looking back now...it was
quite shallow. It will be interesting if they use the D20, SRD, Original
Rules, or New Rules.

Battletech is being released by Whiz Kids in a Mage Knight format...with the
mechs mounted on the click bases with the stats and damage built in. Which
should be pretty damn cool.

Speaking of Twilight 2000, whatever happened to it? That, and BattleTech,
were the two favorite games we played in high-school, with D&D running a
close 3rd.

 GDW.
My wife and I had the fortune to be with the company when it
happened. :) It was quite an exciting time for the company which is one
reason why I toyed around with the idea of doing this very thing with
Abashima Press, but I didn't have the time to do the research and I
wasn't particularly motivated to do it so I let it go--now I regret not
doing it. ;)
Remember though, the _Gulf War Fact Book_ wasn't a game, it was
merely that: a book of facts about the war. It was primarily aimed at
the general public to help them understand what was going on and so had
lots of mass market appeal. Modern guns 'n' such were already available
in GDW games like _Twilight 2000_ so the value to the gamer wasn't high.
