What do you base your disagreement on? Thats the thing
about the internet. Just because everyone has an
opinion doesnt make all opinions equal. Frankly, you
dont have any basis to disagree with me on any
substantive level. In addition to US law I have
studied what is called Conflict of Laws. Conflict of
Laws is a topic which studies the issue of what
jurisdiction's law (including international law) will
be applied to a particular situation. So I am not
giving you an opinion on US law. I am giving you an
opinion that in the jurisdiction you would be sued
that the relevant Conflicts of Law decision would
result in the application of US law. I dont expect you
to grasp that fully, since I dont think you have truly
grasped my prior posts.
Well, that's possible because I have no law degree (didn't I write something about I defer to your explanations about US laws? It wasn't a joke, I think it for real!). But I have at least one informed opinion:

"X can't be guilty of anything in Italy if he hasn't violated any national laws, any international convention or treaty that has Italy as signatory, any European directive ratified by Italian Parliament or any bilateral agreement".

But like I said, you are free to disagree with me all
you want.
Only for the effect of the sovereignity, based on my 'informed opinion' above. No, it's not mine... For anythging else, I bow to your words.Seriously.
See above.
Idem.
You're kidding, right? If not, let me just suggest
that your timing leaves a bit to be desired.
Please let me say in public that I have never, ever intended to express doubts (or use words that other people could construct as such) or questioning your knowledge, integrity, professionaluty or proficiency in the field of law and publishing. I have never felt offended by Clark Peterson's words, I felt honored to discuss with the S&S publisher and a district attorney and I'm not joking.

No, I'm not writing this because I want to interview Clark Peterson if anybody is thinking so. I want to apologize because it seems to me that I have (without amy desire to do so) offended somebody.
