Yes you can - in which case, feel free to go back to the original source.
However, we are under no obligation to use that open text.  We can monkey
around with it as we wish.  As can you.

No - it is not what you want to hear.  This is the difference.  As I have
said before on this list, we are not trying to make OGC toolkits with our
books - if we were, we would automatically make all text open in order to
make things as easy as possible.  However, that is not what our books
(generally - the Ultimate Game Designer's Companion is different) are for.
Now, I have stated (several times) my position and various others here have
stated theirs'.  There really is nothing more to add to this discussion in
terms of what Mongoose Publishing has chosen to do so I believe this is a
good time to drop it, or some people are going to start falling out.

Believe me, if we left ourselves open from a legal perspective, there are
certain parties on this very mailing list who would go for us like a bullet.
