That's not splitting hairs; that's a correction. Are you "splitting hairs" if somebody says "My favorite alcoholic drink is coffee" and you point out there's no alcohol in coffee? Either the original asker meant to type "IP", rather than "PI", or they misunderstand the nature of PI.
