New game? Not unless it somehow ties into the D&D or d20 Modern core books.

The issue that most newcomers miss is that Open Gaming is not d20.

D20 Pros:
Marketing tie-in with established products
All of the Open Gaming Pros

D20 Cons:
Creative limitations on character creation and character advancement
All of the Open Gaming Cons

Open Gaming Pros:
Royalty-free access to a pre-balanced and tested rule set. Some don't see this as a pro.

Open Gaming Cons:
Anything you create based on that rule set must also be open. This needn't include creative content or rules devised separately from Open Content. Some don't see this as a con.
