Hi gang, long time, no see. :)
I've been looking through the archives and I'm not
finding this being discussed
(although the Punching Bag threads kept me rather
engrossed). My question pertains
to the MoP with regards to certain terms. Is
'Outer Planes' constituted as PI, or can it
reasonably be referred to as general
terminology? I understand that the names of the
planes themselves (i.e. Gehenna, The Abyss, etc)
are historically reference-able and
can easily be used without the concern of being a
derivative work. My concern is that
one or two little words could get me in a lot of
trouble.
Also, since I'm here, and emailing WotC directly
isn't giving me an answer, does anyone
know if there are any plans to release expansions
(MoP, the Epic book, etc)? There's a
note in the SRD FAQ's about releasing 'subsystems'
which is vague and frustrating. If
these were usable, things would be a great deal
easier for us at Darksigma. We build
up a lot of steam and then get brought up short by,
"Well what the heck do we do now?
Can we even use this stuff?" We're making do
with what we have, but the storylines
would be a lot better if we could go into a bit
more detail about the deities or toss in
some epic npcs.
Thanks,
Shane Kelly
