Unfortunately that does not help, instead, it actually makes it worse (the
colours are messed up almost all the time)... but it did help me figure out how
the problem occurs. Or at least helped me figure out that I can't really figure
it out.

It is a random bug. I filled in "game.exe -f" and "custom.exe -f" over and over
many times to see if things change, and, while the colours were messed up most
of the time, they did work properly once or twice. So there is seemingly
nothing that "sets it off", it just decides when it feels like working.
Strange.

What I can tell you though, is that entering custom or game through the normal
method of double-clicking the icon, where it opens in a window, and I press
ALT-ENTER to make it fullscreen has a MUCH better success rate (as in, the
colours are fine) than opening through the command prompt with -f (along with
-b 1 too) added on.
