I don't know where I found the energy to chase such trivial things all
evening either.

Ah, Jay! Would you mind looking at this patch for gfx_directx to fix
the fast-keypresses-are-lost problem (which is driving me crazy)? I
can't test it, because surprisingly I don't have the DirectX SDK
installed, though I do have VC++... though I can't remember installing
VC++ for any reason other than to compile gfx_directx. And anyway, I
think it might well clash with something you're doing, or that making
GetOHRScans non-const might be a bad move (break the testapp?).
