Hi Andy,

you are probably right with the versioning, it might produce quite some
compatibility issues among different Illumos distros if we share codebase.
Same applies to Solaris though code sharing is probably not likely to
happen. :-)

@Andrzej, Adam, Ken, Alex, et al: what do you recommend here? Setup own
Illumos shared library symbol versioning for newer things than already
present in the repo?
