Just so I understand: The created custom iso contains solaris.zlib containing /usr , and solarismisc.zlib containing /etc, /var, and /opt.
So in my situation these (the files contained by solarismisc.zlib) get mounted as you explained to /mnt/misc , which is probably normal. In this case: what needs to be done then if you need custom software (packages) to end up in e.g. /etc/test (as in my case) and not to /mnt/misc/etc/test in this live boot_archive mount ? Hopefully somebody can enlighten me..... This works. I have created two local repositories. The first is a a copy of the public available OI repo's and the second is a private repo containing a test package I used "pkg set-publisher..." to point a test OI installation to these repo's and test to see if I could normally install packages from these local repo's. No problems so far. The test package located in the second private repo should install files to /etc/test map. This works also. When I build an iso with distro_const I use these local repo's. Building normal iso's with the standard manifests also gives no problem. I now edit the ai_x86_image_JMC.xml to also point to the local repo's and add the test package, expecting that the package would install to the /etc/test map also in the resulting image when booted . The production of the ai.iso completes succesfully, but when I start/boot the AI server (just created) and go to the prompt, I do not see the test package in /etc/test.... I do see it in /mnt/misc/etc/test This is the problem.... I expected it to be in the same location as with a normal installation. I don't understand why . Hoping to have explained the situation more clearly, R From: [email protected] To: [email protected] Date: Thu, 3 Apr 2014 19:06:57 +0600 Subject: Re: [oi-dev] beginners customized distro_const question And it is possible more in detail about the installer, I understand the local repository installer and start the service pkgdepod?--http://forum.arhipkin.com - Miass OpenSolaris Team Leader _______________________________________________ oi-dev mailing list [email protected] http://openindiana.org/mailman/listinfo/oi-dev _______________________________________________ oi-dev mailing list [email protected] http://openindiana.org/mailman/listinfo/oi-dev _______________________________________________ oi-dev mailing list [email protected] http://openindiana.org/mailman/listinfo/oi-dev
