Hello.
This is call for testing nwam manager to OpenIndiana Hipster desktop users.

I've just rebuilt nwam-manager and updated it a bit from sources which were available before OpenSolaris.org was closed.

I've checked that it works with standard configuration - manual assigning address, DHCP, ipf rules settings and so on.

It's not a big update, so I don't expect that it breaks a lot. We currenty ship nwam-manager 1.146.0. This version is based on 1.151.0. It mostly includes some GUI fixes some cleanup from upstream. Also one small, but pleasant thing - if you have necessary auths, nwam-manager-properties will not launch gksu. Plus patches required
to build nwam-manager with GCC.

To test nwam manager:
0) update your system
1) create backup boot environment
2) add my test repository to the list of publishers

# pkg set-publisher -P -g http://buildzone.oi-build.r61.net:1000/en/index.shtml userland

3) install nwam-manager

# pkg install pkg://userland/desktop/administration/[email protected],5.11-2014.1.3.524:20141213T110739Z

4) Use it as you use it usually and please report any differences in behavior.
