Hi, as some projects are moving to automake 1.15, I added the component to my oi-userland tree and did some testing. Alexander also tested further some Gnome applications.
The current results can be found on this page: http://wiki.openindiana.org/oi/Automake+1.15 You can see that so far 67 out of 106 components are reported to be OK but some components are broken due to (backward) incompatiblities. If you are a consumer of the following components or "just" interested in helping out, could you please try to patch and test them so that they stay functional in oi-userland or work on an update to a newer version if possible ? - ORBit2 2.14.19 (latest version, needs patches) - avahi 0.6.31 (latest version, needs patches, maybe look at https://github.com/Distrotech/avahi) - evolution 2.32.3 (needs patches) - gdm 2.30.7 (needs bump to 2.32.0) - gksu 2.0.2 (needs patches) - gnome-netstatus (needs patches) - gnome-system-tools (needs patches) - gnome-vfs (needs patches) - libmng 1.0.10 (ancient, needs bump, latest is 2.0.3 http://sourceforge.net/projects/libmng/) - librsvg 2.36.4 (ancient, needs bump, latest is 2.40.9 http://ftp.gnome.org/pub/GNOME/sources/librsvg/2.40/) - libwnck 2.30.7 (needs patches and/or could be bumped http://ftp.gnome.org/pub/GNOME/sources/libwnck/2.31/) - libxslt 1.1.28 (latest version, needs patches) - popt 1.7 (needs bump to 1.16 http://rpm5.org/files/popt/popt-1.16.tar.gz) Best regards, Aurélien
