I am not aware of a modification time issue. I have just discovered there is an access time issue, caused by vfs reading from its own cache, without ntfs-3g being notified.

There are several tools included in Hipster(resizing, cloning, undeleting, etc.) You can also run the Windows chkdsk on OpenIndiana : http://jp-andre.pagesperso-orange.fr/runwin.zip (you will have to recompile using a compiler compatible with Windows, if you have difficulties ask me for an executable).
