I'm not much of a programmer at all - just an enthusiast; I don't understand how to know what boards will work and which ones won't, other than the "works for me (WfM)" list on the wiki. This is further compounded by the fact that my desired application requires me to use a mini-itx board, and the LGA1150 boards on the WfM list are old and unavailable for purchase using major outlets. Any insight on how I can spur my own research? What boards have sufficient documentation to take up driver dev as a hobby?

There was a respin due on the 20170502 images to resolve a boot issue on specific hardware that worked with the 20161030 images. Newer dev snapshots resolve this boot issue.
