I faintly remember that there were separate publishers for those "kind-of-release" versions, so that, by changing to that publisher, you got the "fixed" version and could update from an earlier release to that. A real tagging mechanism ' pkg update -tag "2018.10" ' may be something worth thinking about for the future. In principle, that would be possible today by specifiying entire@201810xx as install target ?
