It used to be that I would echo all OIIO pull requests to oiio-dev, since there was no way for non-owners of the GitHub repo to be automatically told about pull requests. This also served to keep subscribers to oiio-dev very informed about what changes were being made to OIIO, and to follow the individual discussions about new features or changes.
Nowadays, GitHub allows users to "watch" a repo, which lets you follow the pull requests and issues filed, even if you aren't an owner. Once GH added this feature, we stopped echoing pull requests by hand. When we do "releases", we still announce it here on oiio-dev (and oiio-announce), including the lists of what has changed. But if you want to stay informed on what is being added to the trunk as it happens, and potentially participate in the reviews or discussion about new features or changes, we now rely on you to "watch" the project on GH. That's not to say that important discussions won't happen on oiio-dev as well, but generally speaking, if you want to be fully informed and up-to-date about issues with the code itself, you need to be both watching on GH as well as subscribed to oiio-dev. -- Larry Gritz [email protected] _______________________________________________ Oiio-dev mailing list [email protected] http://lists.openimageio.org/listinfo.cgi/oiio-dev-openimageio.org
