I have tagged Release-1.1.3 (which at this moment is the tip of the RB-1.1 branch).
This is the latest stable release. If you are a production user or incorporating OIIO into a shipping product, this is what we recommend you use. It is throughly tested and has been used extensively in production. At this point, changes to the 1.1 branch are mostly important bug fixes; we don't change public APIs or break link compatibility, and we only add new features if they are minor and present no risk of new bugs in existing functionality. Newer, riskier patches are added to the "master" branch, and its APIs and linkage may change at any time, so buyer beware (although master also incorporates new features and performance improvements that won't be rolled into a stable release until 1.2).
