I confirm that I does work. I built from the head revision a few weeks
back with GCC 4.1.2 on CentOS 5.

I know a lot of time has gone by, but I believe this problem is solved with the
following pull request: https://github.com/OpenImageIO/oiio/pull/732
The fix has been incorporated into master and RB-1.2.

Hi,
I am attempting to build oiio from a zip archive snapshot of the repo.
I am building it on Fedora 15 but for compatibility with Maya plugins, I am
using the GCC 4.1.2 compiler.
The older compiler seems to have problem with the following code pattern in
imagebufalgo.h
enum OIIO_API AlignedTransform
commenting out the OIIO_API for all the enums in imagebufalgo.h enables me
to compile OIIO
Just wondering if there are others using GCC 4.1.2 successfully with the
latest oiio source on the repo without making the above modification.
Cheers
