Hi All, What about prefixing internal OIIO colourspaces with ‘oiio:SRGB’ or whatever - and they will always be present and available to use in addition to whatever the user OCIO config contains and might wish to select.
Alternatively, erroring where you override oiio with explicit ocio config I think would also be workable - this is pretty much what happens anywhere else OCIO is used and a transform name that is not present in the config is attempted to be used. As long as we provide a ‘OCIO config’ version of the OIIO builtin transforms, I think this would certainly be an improvement on the current situation.
