The list of dependencies for OpenColorIO includes OpenImageIO. However, OIIO can also be compiled with OCIO support. Seems like a bit of chicken and the egg! To solve the interdependency, maybe this would work:
1. Compile OCIO without OIIO support. 2. Compile OIIO with OCIO support from step 1. 3. Recompile OCIO with OIIO support (which now has OCIO support from step 2). Is this the recommended way (or swap OCIO with OIIO and v.v.)? My main interest is obtaining OIIO with support for OCIO transforms, in which case, can I omit step 3 and expect everything to work? Also, while it seems obvious that OIIO would need OCIO to apply LUTs while converting images, what does OCIO use from OIIO?
