Hi everyone,

Does OIIO support display windows when reading in EXR files as textures? I
know oiiotool handles it and there's definitely support when writing out
files, but I couldn't find anything when it comes to reading textures.

This question is prompted by the two use cases I received from a user:

   1. " An artist goes into nuke, paints some textures or edits them and
saves out a new exr file. Often nuke will add the data window that extends
outside the display window". So in this case a maketx flag to crop data
window down to display window would maybe do the trick?
   2.

"On a different note, we rely on the fact that the data windows can be
bigger than display windows when we render lens distortion Via an ST map
plugged into the camera's UV remap input. By having the ST coordinates
extend into the data window, I can add an Overscan value in the Render
Settings, and then I can render a lens-distorted CG render with Overscan.
This is very useful for compositing because there is extra info in my CG
render that extends into the data window."

Alternatively, maybe there's a better way to solve what the user wants?

Thanks,
Thiago
