We are making two releases tonight (or this morning, depending on where and when you read this).
First, the little one. We have tagged "v2.2.18.0" as the latest release in the 2.2 family... which is, as of right now, considered the "obsolete" release family. This is a set of very minor fixes, as usual guaranteed to be API and ABI compatible with prior 2.2 releases. Release notes are below. From here on out, further patches to 2.2 will be for important bugs only -- no more backports of "features", and as time goes on, patch releases for 2.2 will become less frequent and will soon consist of only critical bug fixes.
