I was able to replicate a similar result using the sample multichannel exr here -- https://github.com/Psyop/Cryptomatte/blob/master/sample_images/debug_images/multichannel.exr Similarly, using oiiotool resize works well, but oiio.ImageBufAlgo.resize() seems to produce artifacts.
Mainly it seems as though it replicates too many red pixels and to a lesser degree white pixels.
