If new place will work, will less fall to spam, and will have modern web interface, than sure let’s switch!

So it seems that people are reporting trouble with the current oiio-dev mail list, in particular the rather alarming tendency for gmail users to not see any messages from me! (I am posting this message from my work account, which seems to work, rather than my home account that I habitually use for open source projects.)
Why should I spend any effort to track down the problems with my ISP's ancient mailman software setup, if we were going to switch to an aswf.io administered mail list anyway? We would have done that over the coming weeks, with a long advance notice period to get people ready for the change.
But like I said, the old one seems to be teetering at the brink of disrepair, so I'm tempted to just do the switch ASAP.
We will be able to port the archives over to the new system, so there will be no loss of historical data. And after the switch, we'll set up the old list with a bounce message alerting people who try to post to it where they should go for the new list. But I'm afraid that each person is going to have to re-subscribe to the new list in order to get on it.
Comments? Concerns? Any reason you can think of to delay this action beyond the minimum time it would take us to do it carefully and correctly?
