i remember a problem when using field-conversions in report-queries.
afaik it's about path-expressions, where we have to access the related
class-descriptor to find the correct field-conversion.

I recall that one of my colleagues was mentioning something similar
regarding ReportQueries (he was annoyed that you have to "manually
apply" field-conversions on certain PB-API calls but not on others).
To me it seems like a bug (forgotten calls to field-conversion logic
on some places) rather than a design feature... Any thoughts?
