We use both, in fact all, methods to retrieve data. We build a layer on top
of OJB exposing some of the OJB functionality. I already implemented a
workaround in this layer reagrding this issue, so it does not loose
functionality. However their might be some performance loss caused by the
workaround.

My question is [i just mailed it in another response to the list] what would
happen if i were not to call the releaseresources method? Would it produce a
memory leak?

And if a were to release the resources, i would have to create a new
iterator/collection containing the resultset from the ojbiterator. I believe
the only way is to just iterate over it and add every item to new
iterator/collection?

thanx,

roger
