Hi All,
I've been pouring over the Jakarta-OJB docs & this list for info on whether OJB has support for persisting object fields into Postgres geometric type columns?
OJB supports all datatypes known to JDBC: http://db.apache.org/ojb/jdbc-types.html
If you need support for special datatypes, you have to use the OJB FieldConversions that allow a translation between Java datatypes and the respective data-types of the database columns.
This concepts is also explained in the document mentioned above.
The conversions package contains several examples that will help you to implement your own conversions.
cheers, Thomas
If OJB can't do this, is there any other O/R persistance framework or JDO implementation that can?
Many thanks for any advice or references you can offer.
Cheers, Bill
