Torque XML and Java generation

I intended to ask this on the Torque list, but as it is bouncing on 
both db.apache.org and jakarta.apache.org...

Does anyone here know the state of the OJB XML and Java class sources 
from Torque descriptors? The Torque site lists it as "experimental".
