You can take a lot at repository_database.xml. Thought it didn't specific configured for Orcale but I believe it is not hard to figure it out. As for dbalias, take is as the db connection URL.For example,

Oracle DB URL = jdbc:oracle:thin:@localhost:1521:ORCL

and the configuration will be like

dbalias="thin:@localhost:1521:ORCL"
protocol="jdbc"
subprotocol="oracle"
username="scott"
password="tiger"

I haven't setup Orcale connection before, I could be wrong.

the distribution file. For addition help you can refer to the OJB website
