I don't think you will have to change your code; the org.odmg.DList extends java.util.List so you (and hence OJB) should be able to assign an instance of DListImpl to a List attribute. It's in the repository.xml where you specify which collection to use. It should be the same for Maps, too. I've never had to do this, though, so I could be talking complete rubbish.
